Butterfly Birthday Card

     My daughter's favorite color is yellow, so when her birthday came, I used bright yellow as the background for her birthday card.  The butterfly is Darla and Vivienne from Memory Box, and the floral background is Detailed Floral Thinlits from Stampin' Up.

Floral Thinlit Sympathy Card

I find sympathy cards are often difficult to make, as I do not want the card's design to overshadow the message it is conveying.  I found that SU's Floral Thinlit dies make perfect sympathy cards--the card is beautiful, but it is not overwhelmed by "more is more" as it stands on its own.

Christmas 2016

For my 2016 Christmas card, I used a soft blue as the background and embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder.  I added a Memory Box die cut of snowflakes and stamped Merry Christmas using silver ink.  A blue ribbon finished the front.

Nine Years Old!

My grandson recently celebrated his ninth birthday!  I decided to put stars on the card that matched the paper in the background.  I added a big #9 and "wish BIG," a stamp from Stampin' Up.

Darla and Vivienne Memory Box Variations

I recently made two Mother's Day cards for my daughters--how can I celebrate Mother's Day without my two daughters!  I also used the same design for a birthday card for my former teaching assisstant!

My older daughter graduated from Duke, so I used a blue and white design for her card.

My younger daughter loves the color yellow, so her card was a burst of sunshine!

My favorite color combination is blue and yellow, so I used those colors for the birthday card.

Christmas Cheer with Tim Holtz Poinsettia Die

My card won the prize on Little Claire's Designs--Challenge #64--A Special Christmas Card.

This year I used Tim Holtz's poinsettia die to create my Christmas card.  In addition, I used SU's Christmas Cheer stamp as well as a Darice embossing folder for the snowflakes.    I only made six cards this year and they were hand-delivered to friends in the neighborhood and my two daughters!

"Blingy" Birthday Card

Update:  My card won the Ribbon Girl voucher on the ABC Challenge: J is for Jewels.

My granddaughter is celebrating her 14th birthday, and since she loves the color purple and a lot of bling, I thought I'd combine the two and make her a "blingy" birthday card.

I found some "Bling on a Roll" by Darice at my local craft store as well as some glittered pearls.  I used a design by Mary Fish and created a birthday card.  I looped the "bling" around the bow I made, added some glittered pearls, and after I stamped the message with silver ink, I embossed it so it would be shiny.

Inside the card, I made a small envelope and put the check I gave her inside the envelope!  I wrote a greeting on the die cut--so much more attractive than a rectangular piece of white paper!

Mini Thank You Card

I often have to thank friends for gifts, etc., but I don't want to make a large card.  I created this card that measures 3-1/2" x 5" and have found that it is just right for a short thank you note.

Fancy Fold Red and White Happy Birthday Card!

My good friend loves the color red, so I used a fancy fold card that I found on Dawn Griffith's blog to make her a birthday card.

The inside of the card has a greeting and a space for a written message.

Fancy Fold For Mother's Day

I always make Mother's Day cards for my daughters; without them, I would not be able to celebrate Mother's Day!  I found a new fancy fold on Dawn Griffith's website, and it is now my favorite go-to card!
