When It's Spring, It's Easter!

My 11-year-old granddaughter loves the color purple, so I decided to make a two-tier Easter card for her in shades of purple.  Instead of having a tab or ribbon to use to pull up the second tier, I used a butterfly.  I needed a purple flower, so I dyed a white flower using a blender pen and a purple stamp pad!  She also loves bling, so I applied glitter to every one of the eggs!

Celebrate Easter!

I recently made a triple tier birthday card for my daughter.  However, when it came to making an Easter card for my granddaughter, I could only manage two tiers!  It is really hard to put embellishments on the layers that are hidden "inside" the card, but I did manage to get a little chick to pop up and say, "Celebrate Easter!"

Shopping Our Stash -- Easter or Spring
Eureka Stamps -- Easter Basket

In Sympathy

I recently had to make a sympathy card for a dear friend whose father unexpectedly died.  She thanked me for the card and showed it to her friends and relatives who came to her home after the funeral.  I was able to CASE a card by Mary Fish that featured a unique fold and closure.

A Triple Tier Slider Birthday Card

Update:  My card was chosen as one of the "Top 3" by the PIO Design Team!

I was checking Pinterest for some fancy fold cards and came across this triple tier slider card posted on the Stamp With Heather blog.  My daughter's birthday was March 1, and I thought it would be the perfect card to celebrate her day!  Although the directions were posted, watching the video really helped in making the card.  Needless to say, my daughter was quite impressed with the card!

This is the first "tier" of the card.

This is the second "tier" of the card.

This is the third "tier" of the card.

A Pink and Green Valentine

For my second granddaughter who is three, I designed a Valentine with a retired SU set that included a cute mouse holding a heart!  It is another box card; you would think I would get tired of making them since most of my Christmas cards this past year were box cards!

I entered this card in Challenge #75--Valentines at Cards und More and the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT challenge which was to use pink and another color.

A Purple Valentine!

My card was "Showcased" on the Die Cuttin' Divas Blog for Challenge #102!

One of my granddaughters loves the color purple, so I decided to forgo the usual red hearts and to create a purple Valentine for her.  I tucked a small treat inside the envelope for Valentine's Day.
I entered this Valentine in the Amusing Challenges--All About You Challenge which was to create a card using the word "you," the Crazy 4 Challenges C4C172 which was to make a Valentine's Day card with hearts but no pink or red colors, and in Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #102 which was to use a die cut (SU's envelope die) and the colors red, pink, purple, and/or white.

Pinkalicious Birthday Card

My sister-in-law's birthday is two days before Valentine's Day so I do not use a lot of red when I make her card.  Mary Fish posted a creative card with a unique fold, so I decided to CASE the card in order to create a birthday card for my sister-in-law.

I entered this card in Platypus Creek Digitals Challenge 25 Pretty Party Time.

"All You Need Is Love"

On the CAS-ual Fridays blog, challenge CFC89 is to create a card that is inspired by a song.  Since it is Valentine's Day on Thursday, I chose "All You Need Is Love" for my song.  Since I am giving this card to one of my grandsons, it does not have a lot of embellishments on it.

I also entered this card in Fresh Brewed Designs "Hearts and Dots" challenge, the Catered Crop Polka Dot Recipe Swap Quickfire challenge, and the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #67 Love/Anything Goes.

Christmas Thank You Cards

Keeping in the spirit of Christmas, I used some retired SU DSP to create some thank you cards.  In addition, I used the same card to send get well wishes to a neighbor.  Although I have only posted one card, I rearranged all of the circles on the cards so that the cards were similar but not identical.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss some snowflakes on the card.
