Happy Birthday Fun Fold

My daughter's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year.  I wanted to use some papers that had the same image--one in dark brown with cream flowers and the other in cream with dark brown flowers.  I also found a stamp that was very similar to the flowers for the inside of the card.

The card base is 5-1/2 x 10-3/4 scored at 1-5/8, 3-1/4, 7-1/2, and 9-1/8.  Based on the paper you want to use, cut the backings and the panels to either completely overlap (as in the brown/cream card), or to slightly overlap (as in the yellow floral card).  Add an inside panel for your message.

I entered these cards in Anything Goes with a Fun Fold for Creative Creases #95.  https://secretstamper.com/2024/11/anything-goes-with-a-fun-fold-for-creative-creases-95/

Easter Time!

I created three cards for my grandchildren.  In the first picture, two of the cards are closed, and one is open to show that the rabbit pops out.  The second photo shows the inside of the card on the left, complete with many folds. A blank piece of paper can be added for a personal message.

A Modified Bookshelf Card

My grandson's birthday is the day after Christmas, so I wanted to make him a rather unique card.  I found a bookshelf card by Rachel Tessman https://stampyourartout.com/2020/10/im-calling-it-a-bookshelf-card.html.  However, this card did not have a front, so I modified it by adding a piece of cardstock as the front of the card.  On the far right is a pocket where I put a birthday gift of money.

2020 Christmas Card

For my 2020 Christmas card, I used SU's Snowflake Splender DSP.  I made a double Z-fold card and used a large die cut star as my focal point.  Since there is not a lot of room to write a message on the front of the card, I attached a piece of white cardstock to the back of the card.  This card is extremely easy to make--assembly line style!

Easter Parade

I made seven Easter cards for my grandchildren.  All of them were some type of fun fold card.  I also included a small envelope with each card, filled with money and some Easter confetti!

This is the inside of the yellow card on the top left.

Sunflowers and Balloons Birthday Card

My daughter loves sunflowers, and for her birthday, I created a sunflower card with pop-up balloons on the inside.  I used SU's retired Balloon Thinlits die for the inside of the card.

Halloween Explosion Boxes

For three of my grandchildren, I made explosion boxes.  When the top cover comes off, the boxes "explode" open.  I put a treat inside of each box.  There are many templates online for an exploding box; I used a very basic one.

Z-Fold Anniversary Card

I made a Z-fold anniversary card for my sister and her husband.  I attached another z-fold inside for the message.  I used some paper from my stash--matching stripes and polka dots!

Diamond Top Fold Birthday Card

My grandson is celebrating his 16th birthday.  Since most 16th birthday cards refer to "Sweet Sixteen," I thought just a big "16" would be appropriate.  I found the directions for the card on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FK4fli156AA) and used some polka dot paper to add a bit of pizazz.  We had a great celebration, and he appreciated the card!

Happy Birthday/Fancy Fold Card

My daughter's birthday is March 1.  I usually make her a card that has a lot of yellow on it, but I did not have any yellow DSP available, so I chose blue.

I CASE'D this card fromone I saw on a blog, but there were no directions  (size of papers, etc.). By trial and error I managed to finish the card and make the fold work!

Christmas Card--2018

I made several Christmas cards this year using Tim Holtz Alterations - Flurry #1 and Flurry #2 -  Intricate Snowflake Thinlit Dies.  I also ordered a smaller snowflake set on Amazon--Whitelotous Cutting Dies Stencil. I combined both dies to complete my card.

Die'sire Fancy Edge'ables Happy Birthday Butterfly Card

I recently purchased a butterfly Die'sire Fancy Edge'ables die.  I found some paper with butterflies and used the die to make the edge of the birthday card.

Holiday Gift Card Holders

For four of my grandchildren, I made gift card holders.  Using the same style, I differentiated them by choosing different papers.

Happy Anniversary with Die'sire Fancy Edge'ables - Victoriana

I created an anniversary card for my daughter and her husband--celebrating 14 years of marriage!  I found some double sided cardstock in my stash and then used a Die'sire Victoriana Fancy Edge'ables die to add a fancy edge to the card.  After folding over the card, I used the bird/nest to add some interest to the front of the card.

Gift Card Birthday Cards

My two grandsons were born on the same day--but two years apart.  They are getting too old for toys, so I decided gift cards to their favorite store were appropriate this year.

For the first card, I made a pull out card and attached the gift card to the back.

For the second card, I made a card with a flap and used a punch to make a space to insert the gift card.

"Wish Big" Baseball Birthday Card

My grandson just turned six, and he loves baseball.  I created a baseball birthday card for him that "explodes" when it is opened. The card has a belly band to keep it contained!

An “Impossible” Birthday Card

Directions for the “impossible” card have been popping up on blogs and on Splitcoaststampers.  I decided to do the “impossible” and make a birthday card for my granddaughter who celebrated her 17th birthday.  Using some Stampin’ Up DSP (that has been discontinued), I created a fresh, fun card for my granddaughter!

I wrote my message on the back of the "Happy Birthday" image.  There was just enough room for a short greeting.

Die Cuts Birthday Card

My daughter's favorite color is yellow, so every year I try to include as much yellow on the card as possible.  This year I used two die cuts and embossed the background to add some detail.  I combined two flowers to make the center flower.
