Warmest Wishes

UPDATE: My card was the winner of The Shabby Tea Room's Week #7 challenge.

It's time for Week #7 at The Shabby Tea Room, and we were asked to design a card based on a photo of quilts, blankets, and pillows! I found a quilt on the right side of the photo that had some greens, reds, and blues in it, so I based my design on those colors.

I took my {almost} completed card to AC Moore to try to find some flowers for an embellishment. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the exact flowers I wanted, so I bought some "greenish" roses (which were too big for the card), took them apart and cut the petals, and then sponged the edges with cranberry ink and recreated the flower with the result being I now have a flower that will never exist in nature! I'm including it in Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply search for 3-D flowers too.

(See my previous post for instructions on how to make this card. I'm either on a roll or in a rut as I also made a birthday card using the same instructions.)

Supplies included: SU's Not Quite Navy CS, K&Company designer paper, SU's Whimsical Words and Floral Greetings stamp sets, SU's Word Window and Modern Label punches, Marvy Uchida scalloped oval punches, Martha Stewart lattice punch, SU's Beautiful Wings Embosslits folder, Ink It Up! and Stampabilities stamp pads, and flower and brad from AC Moore.
