Masculine Birthday Card

Recently our local library held its semi-annual book sale, and I bought several books that I thought I could use for my cards. I needed a birthday card for my son-in-law, whose family is of Irish descent. I looked through the atlas I bought and found this great map of Ireland which became the background for my card. I also used a large piece of the Atlantic Ocean for the blue background!

When I was blog-hopping, I noticed that the Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog's challenge was "It's a Man's World, " so I thought this card would be perfect! Besides the map, I used SU's Old Olive cardstock and SU's Sincere Salutations birthday stamp which I stamped in SU's Basic Black ink. The ribbon and thread are from Michael's, and the button was an "extra" that was attached to a sweater I bought!
